BCD HOLDINGS ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE TEAM AND HEAD OFFICE LOCATION OF NEW GLOBAL TRAVEL COMPANY

BCD Holdings NV announced today the executive team and head office location of its new global travel company.
Two acquisitions
On January 3, 2006, BCD announced its agreement with the German travel concern TUI AG on the take-over of the latter’s international corporate travel company TQ3 Travel Solutions Management Holding GmbH. On January 30, 2006, the German Competition Authority gave its clearance decision to the acquisition. The formal closing of the transaction is expected at the end of the first quarter of 2006. In addition, BCD also announced on January 3, 2006, that it reached an agreement to increase its minority stake in the British corporate travel enterprise The Travel Company to a majority share. The two companies will be integrated with BCD’s WorldTravel BTI into one company with one technology and under one management.
Executive Team
The members of the executive team of the new company will be:
- Mike Buckman, Chief Executive Officer (presently CEO WorldTravel BTI U.S.A.);
- Ilona De March, EMEA & India (presently Managing Director, TQ3 Travel Solutions Germany);
- John Snyder, Americas (presently COO WorldTravel BTI U.S.A.);
- Stephan Baars, Finance (presently CFO TQ3 Travel Solutions);
- Dee Runyan, Product & Technology Development/Global Supplier Relations/ASPAC (presently Executive Vice President WorldTravel BTI U.S.A.);
- Mike Walley, U.K & Ireland (presently CEO The Travel Company);
- Tom Barham, Treasury (presently CFO WorldTravel BTI U.S.A.);
- Ralph Manaker, Mergers & Acquisitions (presently President, WorldTravel BTI U.S.A.);
- Mary Ellen George, Global Sales & Consulting (presently Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing WorldTravel BTI U.S.A.);
- Melanie Garrett, Global Marketing (presently Global Vice President Marketing TQ3 Travel Solutions).
The new executives will become operational upon the formal closing.
Marc Hildebrand, presently CEO of TQ3 Travel Solutions, has decided to choose another direction in his professional career and will leave the company on amicable terms. However, for the remaining of the year 2006, he will join BCD Holdings as a Senior Advisor for further acquisition projects. In this role he will report to the CEO of BCD Holdings, Mr. Joop Drechsel.
Head office
The new company’s Executive Team, and a small supporting staff, will have their head office located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
New Brand name
The press bulletin announcing the new brand name under which BCD’s new global travel company will trade; will be released on March 14, 2006.
Size of new company
Also on March 14, 2006, BCD will announce further details about the forecasted sales volume, the number of employees and the network coverage of the new global travel company.
Board
BCD’s new global travel company will be led by an international Board under the chairmanship of BCD’s CEO Mr. Joop Drechsel. The names of the other members will be announced after the formal closing of the transaction.
